I have fond memories of going on adventures with my Mom. These often involved being her assistant when she would photograph clients or driving to a beautiful creek teeming with wildlife so we can explore and get cool photos to share of our experiences. She instilled in me, at a young age, that the natural world is intriguing and sacred.

After her passing I intermittently explored photography. Until in 2022, I did two real estate photo shoots before realizing that I needed to upgrade from my T3i Rebel. I bought an R5 and haven’t done another real estate shoot since. I have however noticed that photography has been a grounding experience for me. Since then I have noticed that it enriches my adventures by giving me some direction to follow, similar to how fishing is a good excuse to bathe in nature, photography allows me to do the same.
The joy of getting to share the things I have seen with others fills me with joy. For by paying a little bit closer attention to the beauty around us, we can get more in tune with our roots and enrich not only ourselves, but our surroundings as well.
