Each treatment uses the same crystals, the same 10px edge gap, dissolving lead, and expanding photograph. Only the arrangement changes. The first two follow the brief: a roomy row of three, and a 3×3 field of nine. The third packs seven crystals the way a hexagonal habit grows. A fourth layout repeats 5–4–5 until every featured photograph is on the stage.
The original trio, pulled in from the stage edges so each crystal can open its 10px gap without hitting the box.

B
Nine-up
A 3×3 grid of smaller crystals. Padding in each cell is the expansion room. This is the homepage arrangement, with the crystals sized a step larger.

C
Habit cluster
Seven crystals in hexagonal packing. The center specimen is larger, the surrounding prisms tuck into the gaps the way a real crystal cluster grows from a nucleus.

D
Habit lattice
The same hexagonal packing, widened to five crystals on the even rows and repeated until every featured photograph is on the stage.
